The Mission of SHARE
The Mission of SHARE is to lead the hungry and homeless to self-sufficiency by providing food, shelter, housing, education and compassion through the strength of their community. Share envisions a community without hunger, where all people have safe and adequate housing and the skills to enhance their quality of life.
The Mission of NEW CHRISTY MINSTRELS FOUNDATION
The NEW CHRISTY MINSTRELS FOUNDATION is established, organized, and operated exclusively for educational purposes for the preservation of Folk Music, History, and Folk Lore by performing the body of music of the Foundation in live concerts/assemblies, free of charge to the public and parochial schools across the country. To keep the body of work alive by providing sheet music, free of charge to public and parochial schools, for the celebration of Folk Music and the continued enjoyment and learning of History through music, now and for future generations.

The Internal Revenue Service approval letter states:
“We are pleased to inform you that upon review of your application for tax exempt status we have determined that you are exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to you are deductible under section 170 of the Code. You are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.”
And the letter from the I.R.S. goes on to say:
“Organizations exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Code are further classified as either public charities or private foundations. We determined that you are a public charity under the Code section(s) listed in the heading of this letter.”
